Experience
I received my bachelor's degree in English at San Diego State University. After my bachelor's studies, I consider life and the intellectuals who surround me to be my continuing education providers. With a network of diverse and dedicated instructors, I have continued with my learning post degree. Everyone that I have encountered in the teaching profession, from my own elementary school instructors to those who taught me in college, has made a great impression on me and influenced my foray into tutoring. Along with my teachers, my parents also planted the first seeds by giving me my love of reading and instructing me on being kind and respectful. I enjoy tutoring in a number of subjects, including social students and math, however, I most enjoy my chosen field of English language. My specialties are helping to perfect essays, providing grammar and spelling lessons, and helping students understand how to journey through novels of all reading levels. As a tutor, I have an open-minded approach in helping students to learn. I feel that each student needs a different approach, from silly to serious, and I am capable of accommodating their learning characteristics. In the spare time that I have, I try to keep up with my own reading pursuits. I am also a sports aficionado, with love for major and minor league competitions.
