Hobbies
I've spent much of my adult life working with kids, and have loved every minute of it. I'm always outdoors and try to hike or camp every chance I get. I love to read an write and have since I was a kid. I love to share that passion with kids; seeing a kid who thinks they "don't like books" start to improve their skills and become excited about reading is a total rush for me. For high school kids, I feel particularly equipped to help them grasp the harder complexities of grammar and writing. I've been able to connect with almost any kid, regardless of their situation. As a swim instructor, I gained experience working with teenagers with autism, asperger's, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit, and depression, among other difficulties. I'd love to work with anyone who feels their kids need help. If I feel like I'm not the ideal person to help, I'll help find someone who is. I'm committed to helping.
